Inspiration #14

“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him”
–1 Corinthians 1:27–29

Recently a friend of mine shared this verse as part of her summer missions trip testimony. When I saw this verse, it really reminded me of why God chooses us who are so unworthy, to do great things. You may think what you have is nothing, you may wish you had more. But the truth is, God has great things planned with what He has given each of us with.

In another way, I’ve also seen this verse as a sort of humourous way of God saying: “haha, I told you so”
