It is always the simple things that change our lives. And these things never happen when you are looking for them to happen. Life will reveal answer at the pace life wishes to do so. You feel like running, but life is on a stroll. This is how God does things…

Currently I’m reading (for my lunch reading at work) Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. It’s similar to Crazy Love by Francis Chan in the approach of writing spiritual literature as a narrative, but Blue Like Jazz has less (pretty much none?) scripture references like Crazy Love does.

Still a very good read though that is inspiring, insightful and convicting in it’s own way (definitely a recommendation from me :]).

To an extent, I agree with the quote above. God does things in His time, His perfect time. This I truly believe. Yet at the same time, I also believe that if you are not looking, or seeking God’s opportunities; thinking about how God might be working in your life, these ‘simple things’ will walk right by you without you noticing or even experiencing them.

Epiphanies, blessings can and do happen when you aren’t looking for them to happen.

But that doesn’t mean that God will always drop on your doorstep and say “Hey! Here’s that blessing” or “Hey! It’s time for a change!”

I’m not saying it can’t happen like that (that would be awesome though ohohohoho)

But God isn’t here to live up to our expectations. Nor is He a genie that’s here to grant your wishes

That aside though,

I do love it when epiphanies come out of those simple things in life :]
